Knowledge Means Nothing

Knowledge Means Nothing

What I used to know means nothing

The faint taste of frost chills my being

As the cold fear of the unknown freezes up the heat within me.

And with the memory of past words spoken

My body aches

The courage within me to face the future is but a token

Stolen by those whose faces cloud my past with fears.

This body is but a shell

Walked on by those who persecute me

The very bones of my ancestors shiver as my story is written by fallen tears.
